How To Prepare For Your Appointment

Please review each step before your visit.

Health History Forms

Please ensure all health history forms are completed prior to your appointment. You are responsible for providing an honest and complete medical history.

Arrive With A Clean Face

Please come with a clean, makeup-free face. Your provider will cleanse the treatment area, but arriving clean helps ensure the safest treatment experience.

Avoid Alcohol & Caffeine

Avoid alcohol for 72 hours and caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment. These increase bruising and swelling.

Pause Blood Thinners

Stop over-the-counter blood thinners such as aspirin, Advil®, Motrin®, naproxen, ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, St. John's Wort, and Omega 3/Fish Oil for 7–10 days prior. Do not stop prescribed medications without consulting your physician.

Arnica Tablets

You may start Arnica tablets 72 hours before your appointment and continue for 72 hours after to help minimize bruising and swelling for injectable procedures.

skincare

Discontinue all products containing actives, such as acids and retinols, 48 hours before and 24 hours after injectable procedures. For skin treatments, discontinue 7-10 days before and after treatment. Your provider may give you different pre and post care instructions based on your specific treatment. Please adhere to any instructions given.

Cold Sores & Active Infections

If you have a history of cold sores, your provider may recommend an anti-viral be taken prophylactically. If you have an active infection, outbreak, rash, blemish, or cold sore within 72 hours of your appointment, you may need to reschedule.

Eat & Hydrate

Please eat and drink water before your appointment to decrease the chances of becoming lightheaded during treatment.

Please follow all pre-care instructions sent to you via email.
